St. Joan of Arc
On The Grapevine 12
St. Joan of Arc was scaling a wall during a battle against the English. Some stories say a cannonball, and others a boulder, but whatever it was, it hit her in the head. St. Joan stopped, shook her head, and then went back to battle. Stubborn lady!
She was a French peasant girl who at the age of 17 heard the voices of St. Catherine, St. Margaret and St. Michael telling her to help restore the French King to his throne. She led a series of spectacular military successes and saw King Charles crowned, but was later captured and burned at the stake by the English as a heretic. "Forward! They are ours!" was her battle cry. You can read more about her HERE.
