St. Gemma Galgani
On the Grapevine 30
St. Gemma (1878 - 1903) was very close to her guardian angel, and frequently had him run errands and mail letters for her.
She was a quiet, gentle and sweet young lady whose heart burned with love for Jesus. After the death of her parents, she raised her 7 brothers and sisters. She wanted to become a nun, but her poor health and chronic illness prevented it. She offered this up as a sacrifice, and lived her own hidden life of quiet prayer. She experienced ecstasies and received the stigmata. She died of tuberculosis at the age of 25 with a smile on her lips.
St. Gemma's autobiography, diary, letters and recorded ecstasies (as well as other information about her) can be found HERE.

"Oh love of my Jesus! ....Let Your love penetrate my all; from You I want nothing else.
My God, my God, I love You. But, perhaps I love You too little, oh Jesus?....
Oh, if all were to know how beautiful Jesus is, how loving He is! They would all die of love.
And yet, how is it that He is so little loved?""
