No Webcomic Until October 14
Hello all. I hate to put this on hiatus for a full month, but my priest told me to cut back on unnecessary work. I have two big things coming up, and if I try to fit in the webcomic as well, it will be at the expensive of prayer time. Plus it is important to be obedient to my good priest.
I have a booth at the Duluth Diocesan Assembly on October 10th where I will be selling items from my Catholic gift shop on Etsy, His Little Garden. I started His Little Garden so I could work down my student loans while I am taking care of my great grandmother (a regular job is difficult because of my schedule with her). I can't join a convent until the student loans are paid off. I am looking forward to the Diocesan Assembly - it will be good exposure. But I have to stock up on inventory, which takes a lot of work because everything in my shop is handmade. And I hope to be able to introduce a few new items.
The week before the Diocesan Assembly (October 2nd to the 8th), I am going to Missouri to discern with the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of the Apostles. I have 17 days to create a bigger inventory, pack my bags, sew a few long skirts, put my affairs in order, and prepare my heart for the visit - without neglecting my other obligations. It will all get done peacefully, because God is good. But I do need to put this webcomic on hiatus until it is all over.
St. Moses will begin posting again on October 14th, and On The Grapevine will pick up on October 17th.
Keeping you all in my prayers,
Meg
