Hello and God be with you all!
I know it has been a long time since I posted. . . weeks kept getting away from me without any time to sit down and paint a new page. However, I have been busy with some pretty wonderful stuff! I visited the Discalced Carmelite Monastery of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Elysburg, PA - and I loved them! It was all so beautiful. The nuns are steeped in such deep love, humility, and wisdom - I felt surrounded by little St. Therese's. I don't know how I got there. . . I certainly don't deserve it! They are so far and above, so joyful, prayerful, loving and humble. I feel like a thief that stumbled upon a precious jewel, and it wasn't intended for me - but I'm not going to let it go! I even felt at the time that if I did NOT attempt to follow Christ down this wondrous, challenging, so far beyond me path to sanctity, I could hardly call myself a Christian any more. So I applied. . . hoping. And in God's great mercy, I was accepted! I just found out on May 12th. I will be a rusty tin can among Crown Jewels! The nuns would like me to enter on September 4th, 2016. I have student debt to pay off first - I went to college for Marine Biology, but spent the last 4 years as the live-in caregiver for my great grandma, so paying off the loans has been slow going. I still have $14,000 that I will need help raising before I can enter. . . I have a fundly page and a shop on Etsy to help, and am working on some brochures and letters to send out. But I had a little time this week to make a quick On The Grapevine for you - so enjoy! <3 Meg Featuring St. Thomas More. :)

I'm back! And I have a new post, featuring St. Expeditus!
<3 Meg Hello everyone. . .
I'm sure you are wondering why I have been so lax about posting lately. I do hope and try to keep this going and post regularly, but it has been so difficult lately. . . I was in an accident with a drunk driver and I'm still getting that all sorted out. And I have been busy. Each week, during the half of each day that I am not with my great grandmother, I co-lead youth ministry, teach religious education, and tutor. I work at an early out library program, crochet with a little old lady, dogsit, and waitress. I also cantar every Saturday. Each of these are only once or twice a week commitments, and they are small, but they add up. Now that I also have the accident and stocking up on inventory for my Etsy shop before Christmas, I haven't been able to get around to the webcomic lately. I know that when you follow a webcomic, it is especially bothersome when the author fails to post on time. . . And I don't think I will be on time very often any time soon. I'm sorry. But I will try to keep this webcomic updated. <3 Meg Posted! From St. Catherine of Siena. This one is for all of you who come from big families!

<3 Meg The next page is posted! And I'm back!
I loved spending a week with the Benedictines and I had a very good time at the Diocesan Assembly in Duluth. I won't be joining the Benedictines - they felt, as I feel, that I should continue to look into the Discalced Carmelites. I am SO grateful for the affirmation and am looking forward to continuing to discern Carmel. The retreat was so good for me. And of course I kept all of you in my prayers. Please continue to pray for me as well. <3 Meg |
